Every year, a traditional temple fair is held in Yuexiu District, January 15th to 21st (the traditional Chinese calendar). This Carnival aims to promote the culture of Guangzhou. The temple fair, which lasts for 7 days, has 10 theme activities, such as puppet show, China’s Got Talent, Wulin Assembly (a show concerning Chinese Kongfu) and Lantern Fair, and covers abundant contents including the cultures of praying for blessings, folk custom, luxury as well as business and commerce. 

In order to popularize the local culture, during the temple fair, there will be activities like special performance on folk custom, exhibition of handicrafts of non-material cultural heritage, sales exhibition of traditional small commodities as well as luxuries, 

etc, every day.
