According to the "2018 Tourism Trend Forecast Report in Mid-Autumn and National Day" released by Ctrip based on the booking big data analysis of National Day vacation products, Guangzhou ranked among the top ten tourist source cities in the National Day this year and the top ten most popular domestic cities for tourists, which reflected that Guangzhou is not only a tourist source, but also an important tourist destination.
According to the monitoring and analysis report of the tourist situation of Guangzhou in the 2018 National Day holiday jointly conducted by the tourism department of the city and the big data operators, during the National Day, Guangzhou received a total of 14.7255 million tourists, an increase of 10.11% over the same period last year; the total tourism revenue of the city was 11.56 billion yuan, an increase of 10.39% year on year. Guangzhou received 8.4891 million tourists from other parts of China, accounting for 57.65%, including 346,500 overseas tourists.
A survey shows that Guangzhou cuisine is a great attraction to people. In the options of best attractions in Guangzhou for tourists (multiple choices), the largest amount of tourists chose local cuisine, accounting for 74.78%. At the same time, the Chimelong Tourist Resort has become the most well-known Guangzhou attraction in the eyes of tourists.
