According to the introduction of the Airport Commission of Guangzhou, by 2024, the Fixed Base Operator of Baiyun Airport (FBO) can satisfy the needs of the take-off and landing of 10,000 flights annually.
The FBO project is invested with RMB 425 million Yuan, which will be constructed in three phases. At the end of 2017, the Phase I project was completed and put into operation, including a parking apron for business jets that cover 88,000 ㎡ and a commercial aviation service building of 6,000 ㎡. So far, the FBO project has provided guarantee services for near 1,000 flights of more than 30 clients.
The economic area of Guangzhou Airport has formed five airport industrial clusters, including the nationally largest airplane maintenance base, the globally largest base for converting passenger planes into air freighters, the nationally largest airport logistics center, the rapid development of airport cross-border e-business, the distinctive concentration of aviation headquarters business and the breakthrough in aircraft leasing industry.
