    The World Route Development Conference, also knownas “World Route Development Forum”, is honored as the “Olympic Games” and “Expo”of the global civil aviation community, the only global event co-participatedin by airlines, airports, governmental organizations, tourism administrationsand decision-makers of related industries. Thanks to the growing scale andinfluence of the event, each major city around the world is actively applyingfor hosting it, which is as difficult as the “Olympic Games” to apply for.


    The 24th World RouteDevelopment Conference will be held at Guangzhou China from September 15 to 18,2018 with a theme of “Gathering in Guangzhou, Connecting with the World”. Theevent this year is expected to be the largest one in its history. It’s reportedthat Guangzhou is a global traffic hub city. So far, 149 international routeshave been opened and every day more than 1,000 flights take tourists to 219destinations around the world. Baiyun International Airport is a “connectingnode with the world”.

    As the No. 2 terminal of Baiyun Airport was putinto use this April, Guangzhou implemented a policy of departure tax rebate forthe shopping of overseas travelers and the policy of transit without a visa isexpected to be extended from 72 hours to 144 hours very soon. It’s anticipatedthat the airport will handle a passenger throughput of 70 million person-times.
