On the morning of August 21, the 7^th “JadeSpirit Award” for Jade Sculptures of Guangdong Province and the Jade JewelryCulture Festival was opened at Jinlun Pavilion on Kangwang South Road in LiwanDistrict. During the evaluation and selection period, people nearby can enjoythe delicate jade sculptures from around the province at Jinlun Pavilion forfree. The pavilion is opened from 9 am to 5 pm every day.

It’s reported that near 1,000 jade sculpture worksscramble for the award this year, which include typical jade from provincessuch as Guangdong, Fujian, Xinjiang, Henan, Sichuan, Yunnan, Jiangsu andLiaoning. Of them, the typical jade of Guangdong includes Taishan jade, Xinyijade, Guanglv jade, Enzhou rare stone and Duanxi ink stone. The hosting partysaid, the greatest characteristic of the exhibition this year is that there isa complete variety of jade of Guangdong. Emerald is the kind of jade with thelargest number of entries this year, reaching 107 pieces, followed by agate at65 pieces.
