China Forest Tour Festival 2018 will be held inHaixinsha, Guangzhou on December 7. The theme of this festival is “AppreciateGuangdong Forests; Appreciate Your Life.” On July 12, the 3^rd StrawCulture and Art Festival of Shimen National Forest Park, one of the activityseries, was unveiled. As reported, the National Forestry and Grassland BureauOffice gave a written consent to Guangzhou Municipal People’s Government on May4 to organize China Forest Tour Festival 2018 together with Guangdong ForestBureau and Guangdong Tourism Bureau.

    Statistics published by Guangzhou Forestry and GardenBureau show that the forest coverage of Guangzhou has reached 42.32%; theforest growing stock reached 17.0263 million cubic meters; the number of attractionsfor forest tours ranked No. 1 in China. All these suggest that Guangzhou’s foresttourism is developing rapidly. So far, Guangzhou has elaborately created fiveecological tour routes, including Conghua Liuxihe National Forest Park, ShimenRed Leaves, Nanjiao District Coastal Mangrove Forest and so on as well as theHuangpu District Historical and Cultural and Ecological Featured Tour. Around14.55 million visitors have visited the forest parks. These forest parks haveprovided an excellent low-carbon tour choice for citizens.
