    Best Bird Watching Scenic Areas of Guangzhou in 2018

    What are the birdsin Guangzhou? Where can we watch bird in Guangzhou? To facilitate public birdwatching, Guangzhou Forestry and Parks Bureau recommends Nansha Wetland ScenicArea, Haizhu National Wetland Park, Baiyun Mountain Scenic Area, Liuhua LakePark and University City Bay Jutou Wetland Park as the five most suitableplaces for bird watching in Guangzhou.


    Nansha Wetland Scenic Area

    More than 200species of birds have been detected in the current surveillance, which not onlyincludes grey herons, egrets, night herons, oriental storks, black-wingedstilts, spot-billed ducks and terns but also white-tailed sea eagles andblack-faced spoonbills.

    Organized byGuangdong Provincial Forestry Department, State Forestry AdministrationCommissioner Office in Guangzhou, Guangzhou Forestry and Gardening Bureau,Guangdong Wildlife Conservation Association, undertaken by Guangzhou WildlifeConservation Management Office and Nansha Wetland Tourism Development Co., Ltd.with the theme of “protecting birds resources and protecting natural scenery”,the 37th Guangdong Province & Guangzhou “Bird Loving Week”Activity will be held from March 20 to March 26 in 2018.

    There are manywild birds such as night herons, light-vented bulbuls, spotted doves,mallards and spot-billed ducks.

    Haizhu National Wetland Park:  


    At present, thereare 167 species of birds, including grey herons, night herons and egrets.

    Baiyun Mountain Scenic Area:


    Wild songbirdssuch as thrushes, light-vented bulbuls, red-whiskered bulbuls and silver eyescan be seen everywhere. Wild birds such as the spotted doves, orientalturtledoves have formed stable populations and bred in Baiyun Mountain.

    University City Bay Jutou Wetland Park:

    More than 60species of birds live and feed here, such as birds of the family ardeidae,shorebirds, and rallidae.
